Never Have I Ever: Rules, Setup, and Prompts

Never Have I Ever is the game that turns a room of near-strangers into a group that knows way too much about each other within ten minutes. One person makes a confession they've never done, and everyone who *has* done it drinks, puts a finger down, or takes a token. It needs zero equipment, works for any group size from three people up, and scales cleanly from a tame family game night to a no-holds-barred bachelorette party.
How to play Never Have I Ever
- Sit or stand in a circle so everyone can see each other react.
- Each player starts with 10 fingers up, or a full drink, or 5 tokens. Pick one system before you start.
- Going clockwise, each player says a sentence starting with "Never have I ever..." followed by something they genuinely have not done.
- Anyone who *has* done that thing puts a finger down, takes a sip, or gives up a token.
- Play continues until someone runs out of fingers, drinks, or tokens: they are out, or they take a forfeit and stay in.
Casual vs adult versions
The casual version sticks to safe, funny territory: embarrassing mistakes, weird habits, travel mishaps, food crimes. It works with coworkers, family, or a group that just met. The adult version leans into dating history, party stories, and things people would only admit under a bit of social pressure. Save it for close friends who already know they're signing up for it.

Casual starters: "Never have I ever gotten lost in my own city," "Never have I ever cried during a Pixar movie," "Never have I ever sent a text to the wrong person."
