Drinking Games for Large Groups

A drinking game that's fun at six people can fall apart at fourteen: too much dead time between turns, too many people checked out waiting. These are the formats that scale, either because everyone participates every round or because the game naturally splits into smaller pockets.

Kings Cup

Kings Cup handles a big group better than almost anything else, because a rule like Waterfall or Categories pulls the whole circle in at once instead of just the person drawing. See the Kings Cup guide for the full card-by-card breakdown.

Categories

Categories keeps everyone engaged because the whole group is racing to answer, not waiting for one person's turn. It also naturally splits a big crowd into smaller simultaneous rounds if the group spreads out. Rules are in the Categories drinking game guide.

Most Likely To

This one actually gets better with more players: a bigger vote spread means more disagreement, and more disagreement is where the game gets funny. Full rules are in the Most Likely To guide.

Splitting a big crowd into pockets

Not every game needs to include all fourteen people at once: a big party often works better as two or three smaller rounds happening in different corners than one game trying to hold everyone's attention at the same time. Categories and Truth or Drink both split naturally; save Kings Cup for when the group actually wants to be one circle, since it depends on everyone seeing the same shared deck.
